The Garden of My Mind - Gallery 2

This is a group show. These artworks are drawn from my home landscape of Mpumalanga, South Africa. I often stop to observe and examine plants and animals I see on the side of the road. Looking is an act of paying tribute, a way of protecting, understanding and caring for parts of our environment that are often taken for granted. The lino-cut prints were made iteratively and informed each other as part of a series exploring roadkill and illusive animals. The painting Lattice is part of an ongoing series, drawing on trees from Mpumalanga to embed images and stories with hidden images within the composition.
